The airplane brought the world to our doorstep. Edison’s light bulb invention literally gave us light when we needed it. Both certainly improved the quality of our lives.
And relaxation techniques? This is the mother lode, the cherry on top, the crème de la crème to make your life so much better.

I don’t have to explain the importance of having a calm and relaxed mind. I would like to say being relaxed is so important these days, especially in ultra-busy cities like Shanghai, as we’re constantly faced with stress. Our brain’s “fight or flight” mode is activated continuously for some of us, leading to even more stress.
 

So please learn to relax……

Here’s one last tip that will help with your efforts, and that’s to create a relaxation routine so that you enjoy the benefits of calming your mind everyday. Here’s what I suggest:
 

★ Choose a special place where you can sit (or lie down) comfortably and quietly.

★ Allow yourself the pleasure of relaxing before you start your relaxation routine. This may sound a little strange but give yourself permission to have a good time. You’ll be surprised how powerful this statement, ”I allow myself to have a good time”, is.
★ Do this once or twice a day, preferably at the same time, as this creates a routine and habit.
★ Make this a daily habit for the rest of your life!
